My name is Jin Merlyn (Litman). I am an illustrator, animator and digital marketer, hailing from Cleveland, Ohio. I am currently in my fourth year of college at the Cleveland Institute of Art, majoring in Animation. My college curriculum over the years has exposed me to various art and animation related industry-standard programs that would otherwise prove very difficult to access on my own.

I am someone who is very curious and adaptive, which has driven me to explore various mediums of animation over the years, as well as various techniques in illustration, which has had a hand in me adapting several art styles, especially my "kidlit" art style. I have worked a summer internship in Content Marketing, which has opened my eyes towards a career path in digital marketing, and has allowed me to realize that much of my artistics skills can easily transfer to a marketing perspective.

Much of my art focuses on making the viewer feel various emotions, so I have developed various art styles that I feel conveys emotions more easily than others. Much of my interest lies in being able to share my knowledge, wisdom, and life experiences with others through my art. Especially those in more vulnerable communities, and those that identify with certain mental illnesses, as the latter is a huge aspect of what makes some of my more emotional pieces feel, well, more emotional!

Whenever I'm not creating works of art, I like to cook, skateboard, play piano, go birding, play chess, play video games, and snuggle with my cat. I am also currently writing and illustrating my own children's picture book.
